About Dading Joseph Dashe (Hon.)

Dading Joseph Dashe, also known publicly as Joseph Dashe, is a Nigerian public administrator and politician from Plateau State. He is associated with the Mikang/Qua’an Pan/Shendam Federal Constituency and is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election. His emergence followed the APC National Assembly primary held in Plateau State in May 2026.

Dashe is from Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State, specifically the Kwalla Muda Ward. Available biographical records indicate that he has an academic background in public administration and conflict management. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and a Master’s degree in Conflict Management and Peace Studies. His academic training has complemented a career that has largely been connected to local government administration, youth affairs and public service.

Before his recent political activities, Dashe worked with the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission, where he built experience in public administration. He subsequently became involved in youth and local-government leadership. Public accounts of his career identify him as a former Secretary-General of the Plateau Youth Council, giving him experience in youth representation and grassroots engagement.

One of the most notable aspects of Dashe’s administrative career has been his service as Secretary of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council. He previously occupied the position during earlier administrations and was appointed again in October 2024 by the then Executive Chairman, Christopher Audu Manship. At the time of the appointment, reports described him as a retired staff member of the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission with experience in local-government administration.

Dashe's experience in local government was not limited to a single tenure. Accounts of his career describe him as a three-term Council Secretary of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council. This gave him considerable administrative experience at the grassroots level and brought him into direct contact with local communities and the structures of local government. His supporters later cited this experience when presenting him as a candidate with knowledge of the constituency and its communities.

In 2026, Dashe formally entered the race for the House of Representatives seat representing Mikang, Qua’an Pan and Shendam. In May that year, he began a consultation tour across wards in Shendam Local Government Area as part of his preparations for the 2027 election. The consultations included meetings with community leaders, youths, women’s groups and other stakeholders.

The APC subsequently selected Dashe as its candidate for the federal constituency. The party's Plateau State primary committee announced him among the winners of its 2026 House of Representatives primaries, alongside other candidates including Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, Lalu Ishaya David, Beni Lar, Dachung Bagos and Idris Wase. The APC candidate directory also lists Dading Joseph Dashe for the Mikang/Qua’an Pan/Shendam constituency.

The constituency he is seeking to represent consists of Mikang, Qua’an Pan and Shendam Local Government Areas in southern Plateau State. These communities form an important part of Plateau State's political landscape, and the constituency encompasses a mixture of rural communities and agricultural areas. Dashe's previous work at the local-government level has been an important part of his political profile as he moves from local administration toward federal legislative politics.

Overall, Dading Joseph Dashe has built his public career primarily through administration, youth leadership and local-government service. His progression from the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission to youth leadership and repeated service as Secretary of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council preceded his decision to seek federal legislative office. His emergence as the APC candidate for Mikang/Qua’an Pan/Shendam places him among Plateau State's candidates for the 2027 House of Representatives elections.
