Engr. Ibrahim Dada is a Nigerian engineer, public servant, sports administrator and politician from Niger State. He is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election. He is also known as Ibrahim Dada Maikunkele and has built his public profile through engineering, community development, sports administration and government service.

Dada is a structural engineer by profession. His professional experience includes work connected with rural infrastructure and agricultural development. He served as a State Project Coordinator under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), a position that gave him direct exposure to rural roads, agricultural communities and the infrastructure challenges affecting people in Niger State.

His experience in public service has also been closely connected with Bosso Local Government Area. Over the years, he has participated in community-development activities and interventions, particularly in areas relating to infrastructure and the welfare of residents. His supporters have highlighted his long-standing involvement in development activities in Bosso even before his decision to seek elective office.

Dada is also known for his involvement in football administration. He previously served as Chairman of Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna, one of Niger State's prominent football clubs. He has also been described as a FIFA-licensed player intermediary, giving him experience within the professional football sector alongside his engineering and public-service background.

In 2026, Dada contested the APC primary for the Bosso/Paikoro Federal Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general election. After the initial primary was declared inconclusive, a rerun was conducted in May 2026, where Dada secured 6,491 votes and emerged as the party's candidate. His nomination was subsequently challenged in court by another APC aspirant, but a Federal High Court ruling in September 2026 upheld his candidacy.

As the APC candidate, Dada has identified potable water, rural roads, education and healthcare among the areas he intends to prioritise if elected. He has particularly emphasized the importance of roads to rural communities and farmers, arguing that better road access can improve the movement and marketing of agricultural produce. He has also spoken about youth and women's empowerment and continuing community-focused initiatives.

Dada Ibrahim's public career therefore combines engineering and rural development experience with sports administration and political activity. His 2027 candidacy represents his move into electoral politics at the federal level, with the goal of representing residents of Bosso and Paikoro Local Government Areas in the House of Representatives.
