About Adelegbe Oluwatimehin Emmanuel (Hon,)

Hon. Oluwatimehin Emmanuel Adelegbe is a Nigerian politician, banker, consultant and businessman from Ondo State. He represents the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the House of Representatives and is a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He currently serves in the 10th National Assembly and previously held the position of Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives in Ondo State between 2017 and 2018.

Adelegbe was born on March 5, 1962, in Okeluse, Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State. He attended Ute Grammar School before proceeding to Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, and Edo State University, now Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and later earned a Master of Business Administration. He also holds professional affiliations with the Institute of Debt Recovery Practitioners of Nigeria and the Business and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria.

Before entering elective politics, Adelegbe spent more than two decades working in banking, finance and consultancy. His professional career included experience with the Central Bank of Nigeria, SEVAN Construction, Guaranty Trust Finance, Standard Trust Bank, Pacific Bank and Unity Bank. His work across these institutions gave him experience in financial services, banking operations, consultancy and business management. He subsequently became Chairman and Chief Executive of Carbridge Solution Limited and Chairman of Royal Parklane Hotel & Suites in Akure.

Adelegbe became increasingly active in politics through the APC and participated in political organisation and campaign activities in Ondo State. He served on the Field Office Operations Directorate of the Buhari Campaign Organisation and was also a member of its Strategy and Planning Committee in Ondo State. Before eventually securing a seat in the National Assembly, he contested the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the 2015 general election.

His public-service career expanded in 2017 when he was appointed Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives in the Ondo State Government. In that position, he was involved in government responsibilities relating to commerce, industry, cooperative development and the wider business environment in the state. His experience in banking and private-sector management provided a professional background for his work in the ministry. The National Assembly also records his service as commissioner from 2017 to 2018.

Adelegbe later returned to electoral politics and contested the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 general election on the APC platform. He won the election and became a member of the 10th House of Representatives. His tenure covers the 2023–2027 parliamentary period, and his official National Assembly profile identifies him as the APC representative for Owo/Ose.

Beyond his political and professional activities, Adelegbe has also been associated with philanthropic and community-development initiatives. His public activities have included support for people within his constituency and participation in programmes aimed at improving opportunities for young people and communities in Owo and Ose. He has maintained a connection with Okeluse and the wider Ose area throughout his public career.

Adelegbe is also listed by the APC as its candidate for the Owo/Ose Federal Constituency in the 2027 House of Representatives election. His inclusion on the party's 2027 candidate platform means he is seeking another term representing Owo and Ose at the National Assembly.
